Have received one email from Eagle Rider saying they will find out more information and get back to me...blah blah blah. Weeks ago now and no further follow up.

Rented a HD Electra Glide from Eaglerider Chicago to do Route 66 and on to San Francisco in July 2018. Bike was awesome, communication once payment was made was lacking but the main cause for concern was when we lost the bike key in transit.

We had a bike handover lasting about ten minutes as it was a really hot day. Was told not to lose the key as it would cost you US$200. At no stage did anyone say the barrel key canโ€™t be left in the ignition of the bike while riding. The unthinkable happened while riding and the key was lost, leaving us with a bike that couldnโ€™t be secured and two saddle bags locked.

Eaglerider Chicago advised they would get a key to us in two days which never eventuated as they couldnโ€™t find the spare key or the code to make a new one but immediately charged us the US$200. Apparently Head office had it??? This is where the problems started as after several communications with Eaglerider Chicago they stopped answering any emails regarding the issue and we were left to our own devices for the remainder of the trip after day 2 of 14. Luckily HD Oklahoma were able to open the saddle bags so my wife could access her clothes.

Luckily we got some great service from Bob at Eaglerider Albuquerque who was able to source codes and get a key made. This issue cost us several hours over all and if the key was lost while bike was locked...would have been tour ending.

My major concern and warning to anyone booking a bike is that if something happens, you just may be left to resolve the issue yourself. This was totally unacceptable by anyoneโ€™s standards. Since returning I have made contact through Experience at Eagle Rider and also through the post tour survey I was sent.

To date, after 4 communications outlining my concerns I have heard absolutely nothing from anyone at Eaglerider. Two Eaglerider managers told me that I must contact Experience at Eaglerider as they definitely will take notice of our concerns and will do something about it.

Well I am yet to hear a word from them...other than the automated thank you for your response email. If this is the standard of service in the event of a problem with the bike, and the lack of interest in the feedback you provide them when things do go wrong...then I would steer well away from them.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $200.

Preferred solution: I want Eaglerider to respond to my complaint requested through Experience at EAGLE RIDER..

Eaglerider Pros: Bike was awesome.

Eaglerider Cons: Being ignored when eaglerider couldnt find the spare key.
