Eagle Rider service is terrible

As a H.O.G. member I guess i expected better service from this H-D affiliated company. I made a reservation, granted only 24 hours in advance, got a confirmation and an hour later got notification that I had been granted store credit for the amount of the rental. When I called Eagle Rider to inquire I was told that there were no bikes available and that I should have read the website where it says that bike availability cannot be guaranteed within 24 hours. Why have a website that says bikes are available if they're not? Why send a confirmation if there are no bikes available? And what makes them think that I want their store credit? Cancel the reservation, refund my payment, and rest assured I will never attempt to do buisiness with you again. You're expensive, you're website is BS, and store credit? Really, store credit? So much for the benefit of HOG membership.

It happened AGAIN, confirmed reservation but no bike

Last year my sons finally came home to Ohio (one from overseas) and I reserved 3 motorcycles for our first ride in years. When we arrived the dealer said they only had one bike. The EagleRider rep suggested we share. Today it happened again! I live in Florida and reserved a bike for an annual ride with friends in Cleveland, I paid and received a confirmation and today I got an email saying the dealers bikes were all taken. Eagle rider said there was nothing they could do and suggested I pick different dates. I already bought plane tickets and I have no bike AGAIN

Booked reservation three weeks in advance for a ride with our family. When I went to pick the bike up I was told that it had been double booked. They offered a lesser bike at the same price. I wouldn’t recommend renting with this company if you have firm plans.

Confirmed Ultra, got a Road King

Set up a Ultra for 7 days in S.FL. when I arrived told they only had an Road King..I paid extra for a nice comfy bagger..Got a beater Road King.. I was told to ride over 150 miles from west coast to east coast, where they had a ln Ultra for me. No discount, just wasted Angry a day to move their bile if I wanted a touring bike...TOTAL BS..

No respect for Veterans

I’m a disabled Vietnam war veteran and booked a trike for the Rolling thunder ride on Memorial Day.

I have never ridden a trike but have ridden motorcycles for over 50 years. When I got there to pick up the trike they were parked on on the street not a parking lot so I could not *** get use to the trike.

After almost crashing twice because I didn’t know how to handle it at low speeds, by this time my PTSD kicked in and I decided for my safety and others around me I better not attempt to take the trike out into traffic.

When I went back to the office they basically said “sucks to be you, you pay the complete bill, $797, that included the rental, taxes, and the full coverage insurance, for a 10 minute rental.

By this time I was in shock and wasn’t going to make a Scene in the middle of a Harley Dealer on Memorial Day Weekend.

They didn’t give a crap who I was all they wanted was the money.

NEVER RENT FROM THEM, THEY WILL SCREW YOU!

Take the word of a disabled Vietnam War Veteran that THEY DON’T CARE!

Rented Streetglide for 9 days, wife got hurt on her own bike 1 day out, returned bike in 5 days,they would not give a refund, had to pay for all 9 days, hidden costs, had to use their insurance or $5

We had a nice ride and the people were excellent when picking bike up. I started thinking since I travel a lot I would join Eagle Rider. We returned the bikes at 11 after they told us if we got them back before an hour we would be ok. We picked them up late. We called back after seeing late charge and talked to Austin Gm Thomas F. Lahaye about a late charged that appeared. They said they would fix it and take it off. The checker did not check bike in until 11:04 which Eagle Rider according to Thomas automatically charges you. Thomas said he would fix it and after checking my credit card that never happened. This is principal for me and bad business. I joined Eagle Rider (SFPNN) Membership #30244 thinking this was fixed. Shocked it was not. Doug Brown and Rick Thiefault were the renters on Aug 3rd. Grand Rapids South Dakota location.

I canceled with EagleRider through email, and they replied that I was canceled. Since the cancellation they have billed me twice again for their monthly Eaglerider club and will not return emails anymore. They are thieves.

I have tried contacting them on numerous occasions about when I am getting my money back and also getting compensated for the abominable service received! Noone answers emails or ticket emails or phone calls!

Our story is so long that I'm sure people will get bored... but here is a exert from one of my emails(that noone has answered):

Good Afternoon Desiree,

Please see below email with date stamp as requested, again.

This will be the fourth time now that I have sent this information while

traveling. I also have email confirmation from Leanne, your co-worker that

she received and forwarded to you over 2 weeks ago.

I have not had any correspondence from you since my last email and am still

awaiting my refund.

The level of customer service that I have received has not been acceptable

and I know if I ran my business like this, I wouldn't be in business.

So just to recap everything again, because I have nothing better to do with

my time:

Firstly I was told in writing that I would receive a refund for deposit on

Reservation RLSA81724 in full at dealership in Las Vegas when I arrived to

pick up other 11 bikes.

When I arrived they did not give refund, denied all knowledge of it and

said I would have to supply proof in writing, which I subsequently did on

numerous occasions. Then I was told in writing that I would receive refund

at time of drop off and arriving in LA. This didn't happen either, as they

denied all knowledge of it and I received nothing again.

On top of all of that issue, we endeavored to pay for the most expensive

and comprehensive accident and vehicle and roadside assistance offered by

your company for our 3 week trip, and I would have to say again that, that

experience has again been substandard as well. So much so that I feel that

we should be compensated for our troubles. Our first bike started

encountering problems soon after we left, and hadn't been serviced

correctly for such a trip. (Why we know this, we own a motorcycle repair

shop) Secondly when the bike got too bad to continue with we had it

replaced in San Francisco with another bike. The replacement bike was

extremely old, ran worst than the first, and ended up breaking down on the

side of the road in the desert in California with oil streaming out of it,

130 miles from LA, so we consequently missed our drop off time with other

bikes in our party. What company sends a replacement bike that is not

roadworthy!!! It seems to me that Eagle-rider has a very poor Quality

Assurance department and I think it should be looked at immediately before

someone is seriously hurt!

Then to add insult to injury, we had to wait on side of road in desert sun

for over 4 hours before we got towed. Also we had to organize and

reorganize our own transport because all your call center did was organize

pick up of the broken bike! Very unprofessional!

So in closing I await your early response to address both my issue of a

refund for deposit on RLAS81724 and also compensation for the poor service

and substandard condition of RLAS81728.

If I haven't had a response from someone within the next 2 business days I

will be taking the matter further through my solicitor and I will be going

public with my concerns about Eagle-rider on every Social media platform

there is.

That email was sent over a week ago I have till not heard from anyone.... Funny that!

If I don't get a response today I will be taking further action with my lawyer!

In summary I have in writing that Eaglerider was giving a complete refund for a deposit not proceeded with but as yet I am still waiting for it!

And secondly with regards to the bike we actually rode it was faulty, then it was replaced with a very old bike and then that bike broke down in middle of desert and we missed our connections, waited over four hours to be picked up, paid the highest coverage and still had to organize our own pickup!

Membership and Bikes

I have been an Eagle rider for 3 years. Last November 20 I noticed that my payments were not coming out as they should have and I got behind in my payments. Didn't have the check mark on the renew payments box and got behind 8 payments on my membership. Called and the person on the phone was helpful and got me caught up on my payments. $39.60 x 8=$316.00. When we talked he said everything was fixed up. It was my understanding that the payments would start coming out automatically however this didn't happen. In Mar I was about to book a trip and noticed that again my payments did not come out. I knew I had all my credits but now they were gone. I tried to get my payments up to date but by signing in it started me on a new membership and all my credits were lost. I immediately called customer service to try to fix things up. For the past 3 years in April I have rented you bikes for a couple weeks each time so I was fully committed to keeping up my membership. I was put in contact with Kristy who I might add is not a very good person for a representative. Very Rude. She sent me a email and said I needed to acknowledge it and send it back. Which I promptly did. I was hoping that I could do it in time to get my credits for this Aprils trip. I still booked the bike and the trip even though nothing had happened with my credits and still went. Just today..3 months later I called her to see if she had any updates for me about my lost credits. She told me that she had done nothing to look into it because I didn't return her email. This is totally not true. I made 100% sure I did because I was hoping to get my credits or my last trip this past April 8/2019. Kristy is very unsympathetic and gets rude. Very poor customer representative. I paid $316.00 to get my account up to date and thought all was good. I thought when I talked to the person about getting on track my payments would start coming out automatically but they didn't. I paid $316.00 plus my other membership dues and received nothing and Kristy did nothing to help. She made me so angry with her rude attitude I have since Quit Eagleriders after 3 Years and 3 awesome trips.

I tried to get a refund Or a store credit so we can buy some T shirts. I had to cancel my motorcycle rental Because of matters out of my control they Refused to give me my money back or a store credit to get Harley T shirts Telling me about their very badd store policy So I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau And still the Las Vegas store refuse I didn't realize Eagle rider has very badd reviews across-the-board We should get the word out About their unhelpful Store policy It's like being legally ripped off We don't need this kind of business in the motorcycle world We have enough problems worrying about getting hit by other cars

BEWARE DO NOT JOIN THE EAGLE MEMBER CLUB!!!! There is no big perks when you join the eagle member club, the only perk Works in their favor and that is they are able to take $30 every month from your bank account and when it comes time to for a member to rent a bike there are still a bunch of fees and cost did they make you pay Which they fail to mention at all at the time to sign up for a membership....Then also being a member I’ve experienced where they don’t put the full deposit back on your card When they hold a deposit Then each establishment no matter what city you go to has all different rules Which is to get more money out of your pocket you would think they would all fall under the same rules being a company No that does not work like that...Before you sign up for Eagle club member, JUST DON’T sign up for Eagle club member it is not beneficial whatsoever and it’s just made to get money out of your pocket monthly!!!!

I fell I was taken advantage of and there's a right way to make money and wrong way to make money and this is not the right way to do it if you want to keep customers coming back. I have rented with this company for years and never have been in put in this position and it does give anyone the want to return and rent another bike again from someone like Eagle Rider. Its almost like you want me to get the bike back regardless of what happens to the bike in the process of getting there regardless of it defectiveness. The bike was making a noise of the way back to the shop is the reason I had to bring it back in the morning rather than that evening. I guess It would be best to let my friends and other motorcycle riders know of my experience so they don't make the same mistake.
